About GEORGE

George W. Middleton is a Fort Wayne Indiana Native for over 80 years, has seen first hand the growth and setbacks in the city and in this country.

After retiring from 40 years at Joslin Steel (later Slater Steel), George began the second leg in his journey of life, focusing on becoming a part of the solution to societal problems the local community was experiencing. 

In 1999, George created a Non-Profit organization called the Eagles Nest Youth Center, which focused on providing underprivileged youth a safe place; for before and after school hours, all day summer programs, nutritional meals, life skills training and more. 

For adults in the community, the Eagles Nest Youth Center offered Networking opportunities, skills training, direct employment opportunities, including a political round table to meet and converse with individuals running for political offices. These discussions would provide constituents first hand knowledge about the candidates and their views and concerns.

During the Covid-19 pandemic and thereafter, George continued to keep in step with technology and his finger on the pulse of not only Fort Wayne Indiana, but the pulse of issues and concerns affecting our nation overall.
